In the center of Rome near the Pantheon, a passion that is handed down.
The Borromini Bookshop was born from the passion of the owner Paolo Paolacci, for paper and everything that goes around it. At the age of 16 he began his career, first in the family remainders bookstores and a few years later in the fantastic world of ancient books.
In agreement with Giuseppe Verdi phrase that “go back to the past and it will be progress” he decided in 2007 to open his Antiques Bookshop under the Church of San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane, built in the Seventeenth century by Francesco Borromini, from which it took its name.
A few years later, together with his daughter Noemi, the headquarter was moved near the Pantheon, a mandatory stop for those visiting Rome. It is here that, still today, they take care of carefully selecting all the volumes and welcoming customers, Italian and foreigners, in a unique location rich of history and culture, where you can breathe the smell of that paper as fascinating to the touch as it is to the view.
The Borromini Bookshop is a member of A.L.A.I., Association of Antiquarian Booksellers of Italy which, in collaboration with the ILAB, International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, is
responsible for organizing exhibitions and fairs on the national and international territory, in which they take part and present their catalogue.
